Fuel cells for Uninterruptible Power Supply? Join the debate on 15 September!
FuelCellEurope is delighted to announce the upcoming workshop on "Fuel cells for UPS: Uninterruptible Power Systems", taking place in Brussels on the 15th of September 2010. Leading industry experts in this field, including Hydrogenics, Proton Motor, SFC Energy AG, Logan Energy and Electro Power Systems will share their visions and experiences on UPS. France Telecom will also share its end user's perspective.
This workshop will focus on fuel cells for Uninterruptible Power Supply, in particular for back-up and stand alone power applications. Speakers and participants will debate about the market perspectives and strategies for the deployment of fuel cells technologies for UPS, in applications such as Data centers, Hospitals, Telecom or Public security related organisations. Emphasis will also be placed on sharing best practices and discussing the state of the art of fuel cell technologies for UPS. This session is part of a series of workshops to the advance the debate on the market uptake of fuel cell and hydrogen technologies. FuelCellEurope supports the conference on “Clean mobility insights: Batteries and Fuel Cells as driving force of the future” hosted by NOW GmbH (Nationale Organisation Wasserstoff- und Brennstoffzellentechnologie) . The CMI will take place in Berlin on 15-16 September.

Bridging the knowledge gap with Policy Makers in Europe on fuel cells and hydrogen potential
On 26 January, FuelCellEurope held a successful Dinner Debate in the European Parliament, raising awareness among Members of the European Parliament (MEP) about fuel cells and hydrogen technologies. Only one week afterwards was held a second debate on the future of Hydrogen, in Edinburgh for Members of the Scottish Parliament (MSP). FuelCellEurope plans to organise similar initiatives accross Europe.

Royal Mail, the postal operating authority for the United Kingdom is working with CENEX, PostEurop, the association of European public postal operators, and FuelCellEurope, the European association of fuel cell developers to develop a universal design specification for hydrogen fuel cell postal vans.
